Jeff Anderson
Jeff Anderson is a consulting actuary with the Minneapolis office of Milliman. He joined the firm in 2009.
Experience
Jeff’s primary area of concentration is the long-term care (LTC) insurance market. He has expertise in assumption development and experience studies and supports the development of the Milliman LTC Guidelines. He assists clients with mergers and acquisitions, asset adequacy testing, and other modeling support. Jeff also has experience with pricing, state insurance department rate filings, valuation, and financial reporting. Jeff has background in statutory, GAAP, and tax reporting for life and health insurance companies. He has worked with Milliman Integrate (formerly MG-ALFA) and other valuation and projection systems.
Jeff is a project manager for Milliman’s LTC Advanced Risk Analytics (LARA) product (www.milliman.com/LARA). LARA provides key insight into LTC morbidity risks through the use of predictive models, social determinants of health data, and prescription drug and medical records. Jeff assists Milliman LARA clients in devising, implementing, and evaluating industry-leading wellness programs with LTC insurance policyholders.
Jeff has spoken at industry and professional meetings and has authored numerous articles and white papers. He was a contributor to the “Insuring Long-Term Care” textbook, which is on the current syllabus for Society of Actuaries Group Health FSA exams. Jeff also volunteers as both an expert question writer and exam grader for the Society of Actuaries Group Health FSA exams.
