Joseph Sloan
Joseph Sloan is a consulting actuary in Milliman’s Dublin office. He joined the company in 2018.
Experience
Joseph’s experience is primarily in the life assurance field in both the Irish domestic and cross-border life assurance markets.
His expertise includes financial reporting, Solvency II, IFRS 17, and other consulting work. Joseph has worked on a variety of portfolios of business, including unit-linked, payment protection insurance, and group life benefits.
Since joining Milliman, Joseph has been heavily involved in IFRS 17 assessment and implementation work for a number of clients.
Joseph has extensive actuarial modelling experience. He has been involved in the development, ongoing maintenance, and validation of actuarial models on various platforms.
Joseph has also written papers and delivered presentations to various industry audiences on topics such as IFRS 17 and modernizing actuarial models and processes.
Prior to joining Milliman, Joseph worked for MetLife Europe where he held various roles in the financial reporting team.
