Scott Harris
Scott Harris currently leads the practice that produces the Hospital Performance Index, which is a tool that produces best practice benchmarks by DRG, and compares the relative performance of every hospital in the USA to those benchmarks. In addition, Scott’s practice produces the monthly releases of the Milliman Health Trend Guidelines. Scott’s practice also builds morbidity models that are used in cat bonds and other structured financial arrangements that transfer healthcare risk to the capital markets.
Scott joined the firm in 2003.
Experience
Scott has been in healthcare since 1995. He has held leadership positions for a Fortune 15 company as well as executive level positions at a startup. Scott spent seven years as a senior vice president for Milliman Care Guidelines, where he was responsible for sales, marketing, training, and all facets of client management. During his tenure at Milliman Care Guidelines they experienced six-fold growth, and became the gold standard for evidence-based guidelines, prior to being sold to Hearst.
