Jonathan Hendrickson
Jon is a principal and consulting actuary with the Phoenix office of Milliman. He joined the firm in 1994.
Experience
Since joining the firm, Jon has gained extensive expertise with both payers and providers in many areas relating to the financing and delivery of healthcare services. He has worked with numerous managed care organizations providing pricing and product development support for both group and individual product lines, provider reimbursement, reserving, annual statement certification, and underwriting support. Jon has assisted multiple startup companies providing actuarial support for licensing, pricing, reserving, and financial projections.
Clients served include health plans, hospital and physician groups, employers, governmental agencies, and other organizations.
Since 2005, Jon has also been very active in Medicare Advantage and Part D. He assists traditional MA/PD, SNP, PDP, and 1876 Cost Plans with developing new strategies to maximize enrollment while managing the inherent risks in these populations.
In addition to these more traditional consulting roles, Jon has proven successful in non-traditional consulting, including:
- Child welfare financing projection and analysis
- Correctional system financing of healthcare services (state, federal, private firms, and academic medical centers)
- Financial projections for device manufacturers to support devices becoming reimbursable by Medicare
