Katie Holcomb is a principal and consulting actuary with the Milwaukee office of Milliman. She has over 15 years of experience working as a healthcare actuary.
Katie’s areas of expertise are pharmacy and Medicare Advantage.
In the pharmacy space, Katie has worked with pharmaceutical manufacturers, industry organizations, pharmacy benefit managers, and insurance carriers. She has expertise in formulary strategy, contracting, and competitive analytics, with particular emphasis on the Medicare Part D benefit. She leads firm-wide research and development of related tools for prescription drug benefits in Milliman’s Health Cost Guidelines for both commercial and retiree populations.
Specific to the Medicare market, Katie has assisted several large Medicare Part D plans with bid preparation and strategic analyses. She is a key contributor to Milliman’s Part D research efforts and has extensive experience analyzing the impact of regulatory changes in Part D. Katie also has experience with Medicare Part C bid development.
