Jeremy Kush is a principal and consulting actuary with the Chicago office of Milliman. He joined the firm in 2010.
Experience
Prior to joining Milliman, Jeremy worked in the strategic development area of Assurant Health. He currently manages multiple teams across multiple areas, focusing his efforts on helping clients develop growth strategies, launch new products, and improve competitive positioning in the commercial markets.
Jeremy performs financial valuation, pricing, product development, and strategic risk management activities for a number of healthcare companies. He helps a variety of clients, including insurance companies, provider-owned health plans, employers, and administrators. Examples of Jeremy’s expertise include the following:
- Developing and supporting growth strategies for new and existing organizations
- Performing opportunity and feasibility analyses for carriers considering expanding / contracting markets
- Designing new products and strategies in the commercial market to help carriers shape their risk profile and optimize the ACA’s risk adjustment program
- Empowering issuers to maximize profitability by identifying data-driven process improvements
- Supporting the development, pricing, and filing of commercial insurance products in numerous states
- Developing financial risk models that utilize new technology and nontraditional data previously unavailable
- Working with multi-national organizations to develop health plan strategies, which enable long-term sustainability in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
- Performing due diligence and appraisal valuation for mergers and acquisitions
- Evaluating economic capital and financial adequacy in support of new product and business launches
- Creating short- and long-term strategic plans that enable powerful growth in an increasingly constrained market
- Optimizing health plan pharmacy competitiveness by capturing additional value throughout the pharmacy supply chain
