Bryan Liu
Bryan is a consulting actuary with the Life Practice in Milliman's Chicago office. He joined the firm in 2021.
Bryan specializes in providing consulting services to offshore entities across all aspects of their business, such as ALM, M&A transactions, financial reporting, and ERM.
Experience
Recently, Bryan has supported multiple Bermudian companies in their license and other regulatory application processes, including designing risk management frameworks, providing guidance on regulatory changes, leading model development, and preparing material for regulatory review. He has also advised clients on ALM and SAA-related matters, such as designing and implementing an ALM strategy, performing investment portfolio optimization, and assessing potential portfolios and investment strategies in a M&A context. Bryan is also experienced in various aspects of the EBS framework through his approved actuary and financial reporting engagements.
Prior to joining Milliman, Bryan worked in the actuarial practice of an accounting firm in Canada, where he managed engagements in areas of appointed actuary services, external audit, modeling, and model risk management.
