Brandon Bard is an actuary with Milliman’s Property and Casualty Orange County office and is based in Colorado. He focuses on InsurTech solutions and advanced ratemaking techniques. He joined the firm in 2022.
Experience
Brandon’s areas of expertise include:
- Developing homeowner's and other property personal lines rates
- Preparing personal lines rate filings to facilitate efficient multi-state regulatory reviews including those for rigorously regulated environments
- Identifying new and emerging pricing trends
- Identifying and measuring underlying drivers to trends and product profitability
Prior to joining Milliman in 2022, Brandon was a property pricing director at USAA where he managed a team of actuarial analysts responsible for pricing states valuing more than $4 billion in premiums. He was also responsible for multi-year planning of rate and structure reviews. Prior to becoming a director, he held analyst roles in property pricing and catastrophe risk management.
