Experience
Amy's experience includes the following:
- Supporting the Appointed Actuaries for three companies in Hong Kong and Macau, covering business plan review, year-end valuation, embedded value reporting, dynamic solvency testing, scenario and stress testing, annual filings to regulatory bodies, product pricing, and development of Prophet model reviews.
- Serving as project manager to support the appraisal valuation of a life insurance company in Hong Kong in a potential initial public offering.
- Performing regular embedded value and value of new business reviews, as well as Prophet model review under TEV basis for insurance companies in Hong Kong and Thailand.
- Assisting in M&A projects in a number of Asian markets such as Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, and Vietnam in actuarial due diligence, and appraisal valuation support for a few multinational insurers.
- Carrying out business planning and providing support in the development of a bancassurance financial projection model for potential joint venture / bancassurance agreement opportunities in Vietnam and Myanmar.
- Supporting HKRBC projects to advise clients on conducting the first, second, and third quantitative impact studies, and implementing the developing framework.
- Supporting the Independent Actuaries in portfolio transfer projects involving Hong Kong and Switzerland to assess the impact to stakeholders.
- Assisting in market research projects on savings and retirement products, as well as medical and health insurance markets in Hong Kong and Thailand for a number of multinational insurers.
- Assisting with in-depth market analysis and competitive benchmarking projects of assumptions and new business margins on TEV basis for a number of multinational insurers in Hong Kong and Thailand.
- Providing on-site support to a multinational insurance company in Hong Kong on its IFRS 17 reporting exercise.
- Providing on-site support to a multinational reinsurance company in Singapore on its quarterly update of the Asia Solvency II production.
- Developing an annuity pricing model for a feasibility analysis of launching a bundled or stand-alone-type payout annuity product in Hong Kong for a multinational insurer, including recommending appropriate mortality assumptions.
