Laura Helvey

Prior to joining Milliman, Laura worked with a life carrier as a senior underwriter. She has experience as both an underwriter and compliance consultant, where she specializes in licensing and assisting with underwriting guidelines.

Laura also works extensively with group and individual life and annuity products. Currently, she works with many startup companies and understands the unique compliance challenges a company will face when entering the insurance market. She has helped many companies navigate these challenges. She works with companies from the point of initial strategy regarding corporate formation to designing licensing strategy that focuses on a speed-to-market initiative.

Whether a company is entering its first state, expanding into new states or new lines of business, or dealing with other corporate changes (name changes, change of domicile, change of control, etc.), Laura can assist with navigating these challenges.
