Mitch Johnson
Mitch Johnson is a consulting actuary with the Milwaukee office of Milliman. He joined the firm in 2015.
Experience
While at Milliman, Mitch has spent a significant amount of time in provider consulting, health plan valuation, and statements of actuarial opinion. In the provider market, he has considerable experience with commercial shared savings agreements, including reviewing and modeling commercial shared savings contracts and projecting/tracking performance. In addition, he has focused on cost and care management strategies through waste identification, ROI studies, analyses of provider reimbursement, and utilization benchmarking. He has experience in several payment models, including a research project on the Direct Primary Care health care delivery model.
In addition to provider consulting, Mitch has extensive experience with capitation rate development for the Florida Medicaid LTSS program, and more recently, has worked on developing Medicaid hospital payment rates for the state of Florida.
Prior to joining Milliman, Mitch worked on the Valuation Team at Cigna Global Health Benefits.
