Nate Karamon

Nate has several years of diverse experience in the actuarial healthcare industry. His areas of experience include performing ACA and MAPD pricing and rate filing, conducting reserving, performing creditable coverage testing, determining compliance under the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act (MHPAEA), and conducting market research. Nate has developed a proficiency in several programming languages, including Python, SAS, SQL, VBA, and R. Some of his recent work includes developing several stop-loss rating models in Python, analyzing large proprietary claims and membership databases using SAS for research in the behavioral health and provider spaces, and aiding in the coding skillset development of coworkers. Nate has also provided support on statements of actuarial opinion, audited custom risk adjustment programs, and studied the financial feasibility of innovative healthcare savings mechanisms and products.

Prior to joining Milliman, Nate interned for Willis Towers Watson’s Health & Benefits Consulting office in Southfield, Michigan.
