In June, Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) issued its Exposure Draft (ED) on proposed changes to the Risk-Based Capital (RBC) Framework for Insurers and Takaful Operators in Malaysia (BNM/RH/ED 029-33), commonly referred to as “RBC2.” In this e-Alert, we cover some of the features of the proposed RBC2 framework and, in particular, how these differ from the current one.
