Patterns in cost and utilization of cardiac diagnostic procedures and cardiovascular events
In the United States, approximately 1 in 3 adults have cardiovascular disease—disorders of the heart and blood vessels. Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is a predominant cause of death globally, representing 1 in 3 global deaths in 2019. This report summarizes cost and utilization patterns of CVD diagnostic tests, interventional revascularization procedures, and CVD events (and associated risk factors), based on analysis of the Milliman MedInsight nationwide Emerging Experience research database.
