RISE Score (Retirement Income Security Evaluation)
The RISE Score is a retirement income security projection tool developed by Milliman to assess how well participants are prepared for the financial risks of retirement. Modeled after a credit score, it uses data on the Milliman platform and information participants add to analyze possibilities that impact financial security. It then provides a rating on a scale of 350 to 850.
- Provides insight beyond most retirement projection tools by measuring the impact of variables such as inflation, healthcare, longevity, financial markets, and withdrawal behavior.
- Illustrates a projected portfolio balance at the point of retirement for three different market scenarios to help visualize the reality of future risk.
- Converts projected portfolio balance into estimated monthly income for each market scenario, adds other retirement income sources, and compares income to projected expenses at retirement.
- Includes tips and suggested action steps to improve the score and invites participants to model the impact of various behavior changes on their retirement financial security.
Managed accounts
