Michael DeMattei
Michael DeMattei is a principal and consulting actuary with the Los Angeles office of Milliman. He joined the firm in 1987.
Experience
Michael has been involved in a broad range of actuarial consulting services. His areas of concentration include companies in conservation/liquidation, hospital professional liability, California workers’ compensation, and title insurance. Michael’s expertise also includes reserving studies for multi-line personal and commercial lines insurance carriers and reserve and funding studies for self-insured companies.
During his career at Milliman, Michael has developed experience with a wide range of clients including personal and commercial lines insurance carriers, state governmental agencies, self-insured companies, risk-retention groups, and captive insurance companies.
Michael’s long-term, ongoing governmental assignments have involved reserve and funding studies for California entities, including the State Workers’ Compensation Insurance Fund, the Insurance Commissioner’s Conservation and Liquidation Office, as well as counties and cities.
