In this e-Alert, we compare the key changes between the proposed risk-based capital framework (RBC 2) set out in the recent Office of Insurance Commission release and the initial framework (RBC 1). This includes an analysis of changes between RBC 2 and RBC 1 based on the 2017 qualitative impact studies results. The e-Alert also has comments on the proposed new framework and its potential impact for life insurers in Thailand.
